DC's Notes
I've always thought camellias were a little bit brave. They bloom in the very coldest part of winter, when hardly any other flower dares to, almost as if they simply couldn't wait for spring.
This wide tape is painted in soft watercolor: deep red camellias with a blush of plum along the petal edges, a few white blossoms tucked in between, sprigs of golden mimosa, round sage-green leaves, and loose petals scattered about as though they've only just drifted down. The colors are rich yet gentle, the kind of red you'd find on an old velvet dress or in your favorite lipstick.
There are two versions to choose from. The washi die-cut has a soft, matte paper feel and tears easily by hand. The PET Pearl Finish die-cut is waterproof and catches the light with a quiet, pearly glow. It's also printed over a layer of white ink, so the flowers stay bright and true even on dark or kraft paper. Both versions are die-cut along the flowers, so you can lift out a single bloom or a whole cluster and place it wherever your page needs it.
It's a lovely choice for winter and holiday spreads, Valentine's pages, vintage floral and botanical journals, and all kinds of collage work.
