DC’s Notes
Imagine driving home late at night after a long, busy day, with the whole city lit up outside your window. The office towers glow one window at a time, the streetlamps along the river flicker on one after another, and everything grows quiet, as if the day can finally let out a long, slow breath.
This night city PET tape captures the city just after sunset, all in deep blues and soft violets. There are tall skylines with golden windows glowing in the dark, a stone arch bridge over a moonlit river, a long suspension bridge stretching across the water, and a riverside walk lined with benches and old-fashioned lamp posts. There’s a little park with a playground, a quiet plaza, a busy downtown crosswalk, and even a lively street corner with a Ferris wheel and a clock tower. A few scenes are printed upside down, like the city’s reflection on the water, and they look absolutely beautiful layered together.
Every scene is drawn with lovely detail, and the glow of the windows and streetlights really stands out against the deep blue tones. It’s especially stunning on dark or black journal pages, and just as pretty on lighter ones.
It’s perfect for travel journals, city and nighttime spreads, scene-building, collage pages and scrapbooks. It also pairs wonderfully with photos from a city trip or a night out.
